AI clubs brought artificial intelligence closer to daily work
In autumn 2025, Hansel decided to increase the understanding of all employees about how AI can be used in practical work and to make work more efficient. The aim was to move from general discussion to concrete experiments and everyday use cases. For this purpose, monthly AI clubs were launched, with all Hansel employees invited to participate, regardless of their position or role.
Lasse Ahonen and Piia Laajala from Hansel’s Digital Services unit were responsible for the organisation and content of the AI clubs. An external AI expert was also involved, who provided general training on the possibilities of AI and built some of the agents that were brainstormed during the clubs.
The content of the AI clubs focused on hands-on learning, presenting demos and sharing proven tips. The clubs reviewed the possibilities of artificial intelligence in Hansel’s operating environment, shared examples of current solutions and learned about building various automation agents.
In addition to the monthly AI clubs, Lasse and Piia surveyed the needs related to artificial intelligence on a unit-by-unit basis and organised light mentoring sessions. These discussions identified concrete applications and supported the deployment of artificial intelligence.
Best tips collected in a prompt bank
The feedback received from the employees on the AI clubs was overall positive. The clubs were felt to have clarified the possibilities of leveraging artificial intelligence and increased courage to engage in practical experiments. As a result, Hansel launched twenty small-scale development projects concerning different automation agents, some of which were completed already in autumn 2025.
A prompt bank was set up in Hansel’s Teams, collecting the best prompts for general distribution. What was significant was that the initiatives and implementation came from the employees themselves. For example, lawyers and the marketing communications team independently built agents and prompts for their own work-related needs.
The AI club participants were particularly pleased with the agents and prompt tips developed by Hansel employees themselves. They were perceived to support the employees’ own work and to be easy to use. In addition, the general development of artificial intelligence and news from around the world aroused interest.
Based on the positive experiences, it was decided to continue the AI clubs in 2026 as well. The aim is to deepen expertise, develop agents further and strengthen the controlled and target-oriented use of artificial intelligence as part of Hansel’s operations.
